These are the outcomes that students acquire through this program: the outcomes (common to all UPV graduates), and the general and specific outcomes of the program, here called "fundamental".

UPV generic Where is evaluated?
Social and environmental commitment
To act with ethics and professional responsibility in the face of social, environmental and economic challenges, taking democratic principles and values and the Sustainable Development Goals as a reference.
Innovation and creativity
Propose creative and innovative solutions to complex situations or problems, specific to the field of knowledge, in order to meet diverse professional and social needs.
Teamwork and leadership
Collaborate effectively in work teams, assuming responsibilities and leadership roles and contributing to collective improvement and development.
Effective communication
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, adapting to the characteristics of the situation and the audience.
Responsibility and decision-making
Act autonomously in learning, making informed decisions in different contexts, making judgements based on experimentation and analysis and transferring knowledge to new situations.

Fundamental
That the students have demonstrated to possess and understand knowledge in an area of study that builds on general secondary education, and is usually found at a level that, although supported by advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge from the forefront of their field of study
That the students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional way and possess the competences that are usually demonstrated through the elaboration and defense of arguments and the resolution of problems within their field of study
That students have the ability to collect and interpret relevant data (usually within their field of study) to make judgments that include reflection on relevant issues of a social, scientific or ethical nature
That students can transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to a specialized and nonspecialized audience.
That students have developed the necessary learning skills to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy
Conceive, design and use applications to extract knowledge from different data sources.
Develop, manage and lead projects that use the techniques, tools and methodologies of data science in different application areas
Plan the necessary processes for the extraction of knowledge from different data sources
Join a multidisciplinary team within the framework of a data science project
Detect new business opportunities to improve how organizations operate, based on the data generated in its socio-economic environment, quantifying its value and identifying the interested stakeholders.
Define and interpret the fundamentals of organizations, the basic aspects of their management, their different functional areas and their socioeconomic environment, to analyze possible data science solutions for decision-making.
Solve mathematical and statistical problems in the field of data science, applying knowledge of linear algebra, differential and integral calculus, logic and statistics.
Apply statistical and machine learning methodologies and techniques for data processing and analysis.
Design data models and specify information systems requirements to store and process data efficiently.
Select and use the appropriate software tools for data storage, processing and access, particularly when dealing with massive and heterogeneous data.
Design and implement the processes of data acquisition, cleaning, transformation and integration for subsequent analysis.
Design and implement the data selection and quality verification processes, mainly considering their heterogeneity and variability.
Specify the requirements of computer systems to properly dimension the support infrastructure that guarantees the acquisition, storage and distributed processing of data in an efficient and safe way.
Communicate effectively the process of knowledge discovery from data, prepare reports and issue recommendations for decision making.
Select and use the most appropriate visualization techniques and tools to represent data and results in a given context.
Apply the ethical, legal and regulatory aspects related to the processing of data and the exploitation of the knowledge obtained.
Apply computer security measures that guarantee restricted and secure access to data and knowledge.
Design and optimize complex systems, using discrete or continuous models, and apply them to the simulation of physical, economic and population systems.
Retrieve, classify and extract information from unstructured and multimodal sources for its integration, ready for the inference of new knowledge.
Represent knowledge in an actionable and interchangeable way to facilitate its automatic manipulation using the appropriate analysis tools.
Apply the acquired knowledge on structure, operation, programming and interconnection of computer systems to solve problems in the field of data science.
Design, implement and evaluate the most appropriate algorithmic solutions to process data efficiently.
Configure and administer operating systems at a basic level for the use in data science projects.
