University Digital Leaders

Students from the Universitat Politècnica de València consolidate their position as great leaders in a national initiative promoted by Telefónica

[ 10/04/2025 ]

Marina Ortells and Vicente Rivas, both students at the Universitat Politècnica de València, have been announced as the winners of the first edition of Telefónica's ‘University Digital Leaders’, an initiative aimed at identifying high-potential profiles in the digital field among undergraduate and master's degree students at universities that are part of the Telefónica Chairs Network.

Marina and Vicente took first place out of 78 candidates selected from the universities that comprise the Telefónica Chair Network. As winners of this project, they received 5000 euros.

But it was not the only UPV representation on the podium because the team formed by Carlota Montero and Raúl Fortea qualified in third place nationally, winning a prize of 3000 euros.

In search of digital talent

This first edition of 'University Digital Leaders' consisted of a series of tests in an 'escape room' format, aimed at a selection of official undergraduate and master's degree students from the 24 universities that make up the Telefónica Chairs Network. The best university students were selected from among the participants, with skills in the three basic pillars that would define a digital leader in the 21st century: hard skills, soft skills and business skills.

In this edition, Telefónica has awarded 22,000 euros in ten prizes to the best teams of two students.
